The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched its latest entry-level Redmi 7A smartphone in China along with Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. The smartphone is a successor to Redmi 6A which was launched in 2018 in India. The smartphone will go on sale in China on June 6 and is expected to arrive in other markets in a couple of months. The Redmi 7A smartphone price is just CNY549 ($80) approx Rs 5,532 or CNY599 ($86) approx Rs 6036.

Redmi 7A
Redmi 7A has two storage options - 16 GB or 32 GB. It features a 5.45-inch display with HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) resolution and is powered by a 12nm Snapdragon 439 chipset, which comes with octa-core CPU and maximum clock speeds of up to 2.0GHz. 

The Redmi 7A’s camera setup is accompanied by an LED flash as well as some AI features like PDAF fast focus, AI beauty and AI background blur. The smartphone has a 5 MP selfie camera, while the bottom is occupied by the Redmi logo. On the back we see a single 13 MP shooter with LED flash, one should know that Redmi 7A has no fingerprint scanners on the device. 

The newly launched Redmi 7A is backed by 4,000mAh battery. Additionally, with an energy-efficient Snapdragon 439 SoC, the device is expected to deliver good battery life.

The phone comes with MIUI 10, based on Android Pie, and supports two SIM cards, although the second go in a hybrid slot. The phone will be available in either Blue or Black color.
