Xiaomi hikes prices of Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi TV 4; check latest rates here
Xiaomi has increased the price of Redmi Note 5 Pro phone by Rs 1,000 and that of Mi TV 4 by Rs 5,000.
Xiaomi’s Redmi brand is one of the favourite phones in India, as they are packed with good camera quality, heavy storage memory, battery life and are usually available in low budget. But for the customers, who are looking to buy a Redmi Note 5 Pro, there is a bad news as Xiaomi has increased the price of the phone by Rs 1,000. The new prices of Note 5 Pro are available on both online and offline retail stores.
There are two variants in Redmi Note 5 Pro.
Redmi Note 5 Pro's starting price for 4GB RAM variant is Rs 13,999, while 6GB RAM version is available at a price tag of Rs 16,999. It may be noted that prices of only 4GB RAM variant has been hiked by Rs 1,000, which means the phone will now be available at Rs 14,999 in stores. The large variant price remain unchanged.
Like Redmi Note 5, this premium phone has a 5.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution, and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor.
Featuring a dual rear camera with 12MP+5MP combination and a 20MP front camera, Redmi Note 5 Pro boasts of a 4000 mAh battery. This Xiaomi smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 with MIUI 9 on top.
Available in Black, Gold, Blue and Rose Gold colour options, Redmi Note 5 Pro also has a facial recognition feature. Sporting large displays, big batteries, high-resolution cameras, Redmi Note 5 Pro is, in fact, one of the few smartphones with 6GB RAM under Rs 20,000, and stated to be the best smartphones under this price tag.
Among other features, the dual-SIM Redmi Note 5 Pro, which runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat, has an identical 5.99-inch full-HD (1080x2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC, it is coupled with Adreno 509 GPU.
Apart from this, Xiaomi has also increased the price of Mi TV 4 by Rs 5,000 to Rs 44,999 compared to its previous price of Rs 39,999.
A recent report of Canalys stated that Xiaomi’s smartphone’s like Redmi 5, Redmi 5A and Redmi Note 5 have seen runaway success, with the Redmi 5A reaching record sales of 3.5 million in the quarter.
