If Lenovo is your kind of brand when it comes to smartphones, then good days have arrived for you as the company is expected to launch handsets under its flagship brand. It is believed that Lenovo will be launching not one but two new smartphones today. According to a BGR report, Lenovo is set to launch two new smartphones in India today. While the company sent out media invites last week, it didn’t reveal anything about the device it plans to launch. These two smartphones are expected to be Lenovo A5 and Lenovo K9.

These two smartphones of Lenovo are expected to come under Rs 10,000 and will compete against Xiaomi’s latest Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 which is most of affordable smartphone with best features by the Chinese smartphone maker. 

Reportedly, last week, Lenovo India had sent out invitations for an event scheduled for October 16. Lenovo will be live-streaming the launch event at 4:00PM IST via its Facebook page.

Here are some features and specifications of the two smartphones, as per BGR. 

Featuring a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 display, the Lenovo A5 is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. It will be packed with two storage variants allowing customers to choose from either 16GB or 32GB internal storage.

Apart from this, the smartphone will feature a single 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, an 8-megapixel selfie camera with the same aperture, and a bigger 4,000mAh battery. Also, the Lenovo A5 will be powered with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.

On the other hand, the Lenovo K9 is expected to feature a 6-inch HD+ (1440×720 pixels) IPS display, and could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. Just like the A5, the K9 will also come in two variant, however, higher compared to the former – a 32GB+3GB and a 64GB+4GB variant.

Also, the K9 will be packed with a dual-camera setup (16-megapixel+2-megapixel) boasting AI capabilities at the back, an 8-megapixel front camera with beauty modes, microSD card slot, and a 3,760mAh battery. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
