Introduced in 2018, WhatsApp group video calling feature has become popular over the years and is being used now more than ever with the nationwide lockdown forcing people to stay indoors. The instant messaging platform has now released an update which makes video group calling easier for both Android and iOS users.
The new update allows you to make group video and voice calls with 4 or fewer members in a single tap as opposed to earlier where you were required to add participants one by one to make a group call.
"We've made it easier than ever to start a group call from WhatsApp for groups of 4 or less. From your group chat tap the video or voice call icon to directly start a call with everyone in the chat!" the Facebook-owned platform announced through a tweet.
The new update is available to download on Google Play Store and App Store for everyone.

Limit on Frequently Forwarded Messages
Meanwhile, the platform has set a limit on frequently forwarded messages, allowing users to send only one chat at a time as part of efforts to curb spreading of misinformation amid the coronavirus pandemic. This limit will be in place once a message has been previously forwarded five times or more.
The latest move comes as countries, including India, are initiating measures to tackle the spread of rumours, fake news and misinformation on social media platforms.
"We are now introducing a limit so that these messages can only be forwarded to one chat at a time...We've seen a significant increase in the amount of forwarding which users have told us can feel overwhelming and can contribute to the spread of misinformation," the Facebook-owned WhatsApp said in its blog on Tuesday.
