The last one to be added by the platform was the Dark Mode — now available for all. The platform has recently increased the limit for number of people that can be added to a video group call. If reports are to be believed, there are a number of other features that the platform is working on and these can be rolled out soon.

Multiple device support

As of now, WhatsApp users can only use their account on one device. If they log in to another account, the users are logged out from the primary device. The platform is reportedly working on changing this. It is working on a feature which will introduce multiple device support for the WhatsApp account.

The multi-device support feature is expected to come handy for those who use more than one phone or want to access their WhatsApp account across the devices they own.

Disappearing messages

WhatsApp users have an option to delete sent messages within a specified time frame. The platform is now working on a ‘Disappearing Messages’ feature that will allow the sent messages to be automatically deleted like WhatsApp Status updates. The feature will allow users to set a time frame on their messages after which they will self-destruct.
