WhatsApp Status Update Feature: Swipe down and cross buttons features
According to Wabetainfo, the new feature was discovered in the Android 2.24.15.11 beta update available on the Google Play Store. Currently, it is available to beta users. The new status interface will allow users to mute statuses, view reports, and manage contacts. The swipe-down and cross buttons will enable users to close the status window quickly.
WhatsApp Status Update Feature: Soon get rid of unnecessary options
The screenshot shared by Wabetainfo shows that users will have three main options: Mute, View Contact, and Report. Previously, the overflow menu contained many unnecessary options like calling the contact or sending a message. The new update simplifies the interface, displaying only essential options, thereby improving the user experience.
WhatsApp Status Update Feature: Other updates
The upcoming translation feature will allow users to chat in any language, with live translation available in Arabic, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese (Brazil), and English. This feature will expand to other languages in the future. Additionally, Meta has integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its products, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.
