WhatsApp new app: Now link up to 4 devices even when phone is offline

WhatsApp Users New Update: WhatsApp has been working on working on giving users an option to access the app on multiple devices and it now allows linking of up to four devices even when your smartphone is offline. In order to make linking devices easier, the instant messaging app has created an entirely new app for Windows. According to the company, the new app has faster loading but has a familiar interface.

"No charger, no problem. Now you can link WhatsApp to up to four devices so your chats stay synced, encrypted, and flowing even after your phone goes offline," the Meta-owned platform said in a tweet. 

"To make linking devices even easier, we’ve created an entirely new app for Windows...With faster loading and a familiar interface, chatting between devices feels seamless," WhatsApp said in another tweet.

Meanwhile, the new app for Windows will enable group video calls with up to 8 people and audio calls with up to 32 people - all from your desktop. 
 
“Launching a new WhatsApp desktop app for Windows. Now you can make E2E encrypted video calls with up to 8 people and audio calls with up to 32 people,” Mark Zuckerberg said on Facebook.

WhatsApp started as a mobile app but several users now access it on computers and tablets. According to Zuckerberg, the new Windows desktop app will load faster and is built with an interface familiar to WhatsApp and Windows users. 

"You can host group video calls with up to 8 people and audio calls with up to 32 people. We’ll continue to increase these limits over time so you can always stay connected with friends, family and work colleagues," he added.
