In other words, WhatsApp users will be able to add personalised messages while forwarding images, videos, GIFs and links. However, the feature is expected to work with photos, videos and GIFs initially.

This update will remove the requirement for WhatsApp users to send a separate message after forwarding the text messages, images or documents.

This will be a helpful feature as it allows users to add customised remarks or explanations about the content sharing with the upgrade.

Earlier, the company introduced 'Message Drafts' for users. This feature is now available for all users - Android and iOS - around the world. According to the company, the new feature is designed to provide an easy and efficient way to locate and complete any unfinished messages.

This feature will help users quickly locate an unfinished message in the chat as a “Draft” indicator will now appear for any unfinished messages and move them to the top of the chats list.

"Whether you get interrupted or distracted while typing or simply forget to send a message, this feature helps you save time and effort, allowing you to find and get back to those messages quickly," the company said in a release.

How To Use WhatsApp Drafts

This is a very simple feature and users are not required do to anything. The app will itself start indicating "Draft" in green colour if you have left a message without sending it.

The label will make it easy for users to find the chat and start it from where they had left off. Just like the feature available in emails, the recipient will not be able to see the draft.
