May be for simplicity or other features WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app, with over 1.5 billion users across the world. Besides messages, voice and video calling, the app recently added many other features including WhatsApp Business which helps businesses to expand their network and communicate better with the customers. The Facebook-owned app is compatible with both iOS and Android.
Despite all these success stories of WhatsApp, a rival app is gradually expanding its user base. Telegram has announced an array of new features which will offer numerous improvements to the way people send and receive their messages, according to an express.co.uk report. The app has now over 200 million users and it is increasing fast.
The new upgrade allows users to ping over a messaging without disturbing the person receiving the note even if they forget to switch off their noisy notifications. The users can hold the “Send” button with the option for it to be delivered without audio appearing to use this feature, the report said.
The feature also works in groups. There are a number of other upgrades Telegram made include a Slow Mode. This limits the number of times someone can post in group chat. Slow Mode can make conversations in the group more orderly. Night Mode on the iPhone lets users choose accent colours for night themes. Both iOS and Android users get the option to add animated emojis, it said.
There’s also an option to send movies to friends. When a user sends videos through the service, videos now display thumbnail previews.
