WhatsApp advanced search feature is here: How it works

WhatsApp is consistently updating its platform to offer a better and improved experience to its 2 billion global users. Only a few days ago, the platform had rolled out the Dark Mode for all its users, allowing them to choose between a light and Dark Theme. Now, the Facebook-owned platform has come up with the Advanced Search feature for both iOS and Android platforms. While the platform already has a search feature that allows you to find specific messages, the new feature will help you do a lot more. 

The same feature can be used to find tickets, address or other important messages on WhatsApp. However, the users were not able to search for audio and video files - which will be made possible with the WhatsApp advanced search feature. The new update also allows users to find documents on the platform.

WhatsApp advanced search: How it works

- Open WhatsApp.

- Tap on the search icon on the top bar.

- Initiate a search.

- Enter the keyword you are looking for.

- WHatsApp will show results from chat history including photos, links, and videos. 

The new feature also allows you to search for GIFs and web links. According to WhatsApp tracker, the company will soon add audio search feature as well. Notably, the feature is only available on the latest version of Android and iOS. So, if you can't see it on the app, you need to update the software. a
