Vodafone offers new prepaid plan with unlimited calling, 2GB daily data: Here is what it costs

The telecom war doesn't seem like ending anytime soon. All the major players are coming up with various plans to take on each other. Now, Vodafone has launched a new prepaid recharge plan offering unlimited calling benefits, daily data and more. Notably, there is no daily or weekly limit on calling. The new Vodafone prepaid plan offers unlimited local and national calling without any FUP, 100 free SMS daily and 2GB daily data. Once the users exhaust the daily data limit of 2GB, they will be charged 50 paise per MB for downloading. 

The new Vodafone prepaid recharge plan has been priced at Rs 229. Apart from the above-mentioned benefits, the customers also get a subscription to Vodafone Play where you can watch live TV and stream movies. However, they need to keep in mind that the plan is only available in Mumbai, Delhi and Rajasthan, at least as of now. 

The telecom operator already offers a Rs 199 prepaid plan with almost similar benefits. Under the Rs 199 plan, Vodafone offers unlimited calling, 100 free SMS daily and 1.5GB daily data. The validity of this plan is 28 days. The major difference between the two plans is the additional 500 MB data per day. 

The new Rs 229 prepaid plan will compete against the Rs 198 prepaid plan from Reliance Jio which offers unlimited calling and 2GB daily data for 28 days. Once the daily limit is exhausted, users can continue with unlimited downloads, but at a reduced speed of 64kbps. Another major telecom operator, Airtel too has a prepaid plan priced at Rs 249 which offers 28 days validity 2GB daily data and unlimited local and national calling. The plan also includes 100 free local and national SMS daily.

Recently, Vodafone has also kicked off free doorstep delivery service for users who are looking for a new 4G connection. The service is being offered to customers that purchase prepaid plan of Rs 249 or more. The telco also has a Rs 139 recharge plan which comes with 28 days validity, unlimited calling and 5GB of total data. The plan also includes 100 free local and national SMS daily.
