Vivo has launched a new variant of the recently introduced smartphone - the Vivo Y12 in India on Monday. The new variant launched by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage priced at Rs 11,990. With the introduction of the new variant, the smartphone will be available in two variants in India - 4GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 3GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. Both variants are now available for purchase from both offline and online platforms. The 4GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant was introduced last month by Vivo.

The Vivo Y12 sports a 6.35-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1544 pixels at a pixel density of 268 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. The smartphone is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor which is assisted by up to 4GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery.

On the back, it comes with a 8-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a second 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the Vivo Y12 sports a 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera comes with features like HDR, Time-Lapse, Slow motion, Live Photos, Portrait Mode, Panorama and Portrait.

The Y12 will come in two colours: Burgundy Red and Aqua Blue. It is currently listed on the Vivo website and will be available for purchase offline as well. The Vivo Y12 also supports face unlock. The connectivity options on the Vivo Y12 include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, FM radio, 3G, and 4G.
