Valentine's Day 2024: Instagram brings special features to Stories and Notes - Check details

Valentine's Day 2024: Instagram is celebrating Valentine’s Day with several special hidden features across Stories and Notes. These features will be available starting today. Insta users can access these features until February 15. Below are some of the features and how they work.

Notes: Posting or tapping Notes with Valentine’s Day-related keywords or emojis will trigger an “exploding heart/emoji” animation in your DM inbox. Keywords include: Happy Valentine’s Day, Happy Vday, Vday, and more.

Stories: Posting or tapping an @mention in Stories will trigger floating hearts in your Stories. There will also be hearts added to the @mention sticker in your Stories sticker tray 
 
The Meta-owned platform has been of late introducing several features to stay relevant to users. Earlier, the company expanded its Close Friends feature beyond Stories and Notes to feed posts and Reels. 

This allows users to be able to share Reels and feed posts with a smaller, more trusted group instead of everyone who follows them, according to Engadget. 

When creating a post or Reel, click on the Audience button and select Close Friends. Then, tap Share. The post or Reel will have a green star label, indicating that it is only visible to people on your Close Friends list.
