WhatsApp stickers!

The app has introduced third-party sticker packs to allow designers and developers around the world to create stickers for WhatsApp.

To do so, WhatsApp has included a set of APIs and interfaces that allow you to build sticker apps that add stickers to WhatsApp on Android or iOS.

You can publish your sticker app like any other app to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and users who download and install your app will be able to start sending those stickers right from within WhatsApp.

To use stickers in a chat, simply tap the new sticker button and select the sticker you want to share. You can add new sticker packs by tapping the plus icon.

Stickers will be available for Android and iPhone.

WhatsApp Group video calling!

You can make a group call with up to four people total - anytime and anywhere. Just start a one-on-one voice or video call and tap the new "add participant" button in the top right corner to add more contacts to the call.

The feature is currently rolling out on the iPhone and Android versions of our app.

Private Reply

WhatsApp introduced this feature on its beta version 2.18.355, where it allows users to send messages privately to an indivdual in a group. What happens is you can communicate to someone personally even while chatting in a group at the same time, the others would not know.

For this feature, a user will need to tap on the message sent by that particular individual and then click on the three-dotted menu which appears generally in

WhatsApp on the top right corner. There will be a option saying Privately Reply.

Swipe to Reply

At first this feature was introduced to only iPhone users, however, is now available for every Android user as well.

In this feature, a person reply to a specific message sent by the other individual. For this, you just have to swipe the content of a message and reply them on that particular discussion. Earlier, a user had to click on a chat and then on the top right menu where the Reply option would appear.

Silent Mode for Android

This was is a real help when you do not want to open an unwanted message. WhatsApp came with a 'Silent Mode' option, where a user can hide notification dots which declares whether you have read or received a message, in a muted chat.

Simply put, a user will not be able to see how many messages they have received in a muted chat.

The feature is already enabled in the app by default, and hence cannot be applied or removed manually.

Labeling Forwarded Messages

This feature helps you understand whether the messages you receive have been forwarded to you. This extra context will help make one-on-one and group chats easier to follow.

It also helps you determine if your friend or relative wrote the message they sent or if it originally came from someone else.

To see this new forwarded label, you need to have the latest supported version of WhatsApp on your phone.

Hence, make most of WhatsApp get the latest version and enjoy the above mentioned features.
