BSNL offer: The data war might have eased somewhat over the last few months, but the telecom operators still keep coming with new plans or offers to attract new customers and keep the existing ones. Now, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL has reportedly launched two new prepaid plans, with one of them offering a massive 840GB 4G data per day at just Rs 236. The telecom operator has introduced two new plans priced at Rs  96 and Rs 236. These plans come with 28 days and 84 days validity, respectively and offer 10GB 4G data per day.

This means that you will end up getting 280GB and 840GB data during the validity period of the plan. However, there is a small catch. The operator is only offering these plans in select regions where it is already offering 4G services. As per Telecom Talk, BSNL is offering these new prepaid plans only in places where its 4G service is live. The areas that BSNL has listed with an active 4G network are in Maharashtra and include regions like Akola, Bhandara, Beed, Jalna, Osmanabad and other nearby regions.

The customers need to keep in mind that the new prepaid plans only offer data benefits. This means that you do not get any talktime with these plans. As mentioned above as well, both the BSNL prepaid plans offer data benefit of 10GB per day. While the Rs 96 BSNL prepaid plan is vaild for 28 days, the Rs 23 plan comes with 84 days of validity. 

A total data benefit of 280GB is offered by BSNL STV 96 prepaid plan, and 840GB data benefit is offered by BSNL STV 236 prepaid plan. The report also claims that both these plans are only available for a limited period. However, we could not spot any of these data plans on the company website.

Meanwhile, BSNL has recently revised its existing Rs 1,098 prepaid plan to offer unlimited voice calling (including Mumbai and Delhi circles), unlimited data but with a limit of 375GB for a validity of 75 days. Once the data is exhausted, the customers can continue to use BSNL data at a reduced speed of 40Kbps. The plan also offers 100 SMS per day, and PRBT services as well.
