Twitter to remove legacy Blue badges from April 1: Here's what you can do to keep Blue tick
Twitter Blue Tick Verification: Twitter has announced that it will remove all legacy Blue verified checkmarks from April 1. This will be implemented for both individual users and organisations. Twitter CEO Elon Musk had earlier said that the Blue checkmark will be available for everyone but users will have to pay for it.
How much Twitter Blue will cost in India?
An individual will have to pay Rs 9,400 a year for Twitter Blue in India. Globally, users can get Blue Verified for $7 a month if they sign up via a web browser.
"Winding down of legacy verified program will begin from April 1. To keep your blue checkmark on Twitter, individuals can sign up for Twitter Blue," said the company.
What is Twitter Blue?
Twitter Blue will give several options to users like a blue checkmark. Apart from this, users will get prioritised ranking in conversations, ads will be reduced, and they can put longer Tweets, Bookmark Folders, custom navigation, Edit Tweet, Undo Tweet, and more.

Currently, individual Twitter users who have verified blue check marks are those paying for Twitter Blue, which in the US costs $8 a month via the web and $11 a month through the in-app payment on iOS and Android.
Long tweets will let users tweet up to 4,000 characters. As far as ads are concerned, subscribers of Twitter Blue will see 50 per cent fewer ads in their home timeline.
For the uninitiated, Twitter recently introduced gold check-mark companies and brands and a grey check-mark for government accounts. The micro-blogging site recently told businesses to pay $1,000 per month for retaining gold badges. It said that those who do not pay the money will lose their checkmarks.
