Realme has become a disruptor in India's smartphone market just like Xiaomi. The Chinese firm under its U series is eyeing selfie-centric users. Realme confirmed the launch of its next smartphone last week at India Mobile Congress. The new Realme device, which will be exclusively available on Amazon India on November 28 at 12.30 PM, is said to be powered by MediaTek P70 Mobile Platform.
 
According to reports, Realme U1 will be the world's first smartphone to be powered by the latest MediaTek Helio P70 Mobile Platform. Realme U1 has been teased by the company as a 'SelfiePro'.
 
Since Xiomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is also being launched in India on November 22, it will interesting to watch as to how Realme will be able to compete against the former in terms of price and affordability.
 
According to Counterpoint Research, the company became the first brand to sell 1 million smartphones within 5 months of its launch and is currently the fourth largest brand online, claiming to have sold over 3 million devices in the last six months.

After unveiling smartphones like Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1, the company is expanding its portfolio to target new kind of customers with its latest device. The teaser images confirm that it will sport a notched display and use a drop notch similar to the one found on smartphones like OnePlus 6T and Realme 2 Pro.
 
As the teaser says it will have “the most powerful selfie camera ever”, technology websites expect it have 25 MP sensor used in plenty by Oppo devices like Find X, R17 and the F series. 
 
Realme is said to have promised faster multi-frame noise reduction images, accurate AI detection from the Helio P70 in the selfie camera that will also double as a face-scanning sensor for unlocking the device.
 
So far, the company has not divulged any information on other features.
