The recently launched Asus ROG 2 has got its challenger in the form of Black Shark 2 Pro which was launched in China on Tuesday at the company's flagship's event. The Black Shark 2 Pro follows the Black Shark 2 which was recently launched in India and becomes world's second smartphone to sport Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 855+. The latest offering by Xiaomi-backed brand takes on the Asus ROG 2 in China which recently became the first phone to feature the above-mentioned chipset. Just like its predecessor, the Black Shark 2 Pro also comes with features like the next-gen Liquid Cooling system that keeps the heat down while delivering extreme performance, a TrueView display with high refresh rate, and several optional gaming accessories.

Black Shark 2 Pro price in China and what to expect in India

Black Shark 2 Pro price in China has been set at RMB 2,999 for the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The company is also offering a top-end variant that has been priced at RMB 3,499 and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In India currency, the base model's price is around Rs 29,990 while the top model cost converts to Rs 34,990. The phone will go on sale in China starting from August 2.

Black Shark 2 Pro specifications and features

The smartphone comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor which offers a maximum clock speed of 2.96GHz that is more than 2.84GHz which the Snapdragon 855 offers.  The handset also features DC Dimming and a high touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The Black Shark 2 Pro features a whopping 12GB RAM, making it a powerful gaming smartphone and comes in two storage variants - 128GB and 256GB. The device boots MIUI 10 that’s based on Android 9 Pie.

It comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, accompanied by a 13-megapixel secondary shooter. On the front, it gets a 24MP selfie shooter. The handset is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 technology support.
