Vivo is celebrating 10 years in India and it kicked off the tenth anniversary celebrations by hosting the second edition of Vivo Tech Day 2024. As the company enters into the second decade of its operation in India, it plans to strengthen its focus on India-centric products by localising design, camera effects and overall product experience. It also launched the third edition of the vivo India Impact Report.

The Vivo India Impact Report 2023 underlined ‘Vivo for India’ strategy, focused on enhancing all aspects of its business operations, from local manufacturing to rationalization of distribution, modernising local value addition and focusing on Design for India to offer products according to the local needs and preferences of the consumers. 

While celebrating the 10-year milestone, Geetaj Channana, Head Corporate Strategy, Vivo India, said, “The past decade for vivo India has been defined by impact, resilience and commitment. From our beginnings as a newcomer, we now proudly serve over 120 million vivo smartphones used by proud Indians today."

Key highlights of the vivo India Impact Report 2023 

- Over the last 10 years, Vivo India has manufactured 150+ million ‘Made in India’ smartphones at its manufacturing facility. 

-  Since its inception, the company has nurtured partnerships with over 30 suppliers in India.

- Vivo has exported ‘Made in India’ smartphones worth Rs 400 crore since 2022.

- Vivo India generates around 2,00,000 jobs in India directly and indirectly.

- Vivo has now over 650 service centres and 2,500 trained staff members today.
