iQoo has been preparing for its India launch for over a month now, teasing its first smartphone iQoo 3, claiming it to be country's first with 5G connectivity. But, in a big surprise, it seems like Realme will launch a 5G smartphone in India before that. One day before the iQoo 3, to be precise. The Chinese smartphone maker took to Twitter on Monday evening to announce that it will be launching the Realme X50 Pro 5G in India on February 24, i.e. next Monday.

The company had earlier announced that the smartphone will be launched at Mobile World Congress 2020, in Barcelona. However, the event was concelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. The Realme X50 Pro 5G is set to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, making it the first smartphone to use the chip in India.

Notably, the iQoo 3 will also run on the same processor. The Realme X50 Pro 5G will feature a 90Hz Super AMOLED screen instead of a LCD IPS panel. The smartphone will also have a dual punch hole at the top left corner, which also means dual front-facing camera. A similar setup was seen on this month's Poco X2 as well.
