South Korean electronics giant, Samsung is planning to bet big on smart TV segment in India, with the launch of as many as 20 products next week, Zee Business has learnt.
South Korean electronics giant, Samsung is planning to bet big on smart TV segment in India, with the launch of as many as 20 products next week, Zee Business has learnt. With the launch of these models, the company would have launched about 50 smart TVs in the Indian market during the summer, including the recently launched The Serif and QLED 8K TVs.
All these products will be placed in premium and ultra-premium segment with prices starting at Rs 20,000. The new Smart TV range that goes up to Rs 2.4 lakh includes Ultra-HD models that offer breath-taking picture quality and impeccable design.
The new Smart TV range will offer features such as personal computer (PC) mode, home Cloud, music player and live cast, among others, thus making multi-tasking easier. The new models will offer consumers the option to choose from a wide range of OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, ZEE5, SonyLIV and Voot.
With more people working from home, Samsung has also added free subscription to Office 365, along with 5GB of cloud storage.
Earlier this week, Samsung had launched a new portfolio of 2020 lifestyle televisions, The Serif and the 2020 QLED 8K TV line, with premium features in India. The Serif comes in three sizes – 43-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch - for Rs 83,900, Rs 1,16,900 and Rs 1,48,900, respectively.
The Serif will be available on Amazon at a special price from July 8 to July 17.
Samsung's new range of high-end QLED 8K TVs will be priced at Rs 4.99 lakh for the 65-inch version, Rs 9.99 lakh for the 75-inch version, Rs 14.29 lakh for the 82-inch version and Rs 15.79 lakh for the 85-inch version.
