Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Vs S22 Ultra comparison: Samsung Galaxy S23 series is now available for purchase in India. The South Korean tech major unveiled the Galaxy S23 series -  S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra - earlier this month. The company claims that the device is fully loaded with features to give users the best Android experience. But are these features worth upgrading from Galaxy S22 Ultra to Galaxy S23 Ultra? The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, in fact, the entire S23 series, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. This is the latest and most powerful chipset available in the market as of now. Also, the company has said that the chipset has a new 8-core Kryo CPU microarchitecture that improves the processing capabilities of the latest series by around 30 per cent when compared to its predecessor. The Samsung Galaxy S22 used Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor chipset.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 200-megapixel wide lens sensor. This is the first time when Samsung has introduced a 200MP camera in its smartphones. On the other hand, the S22 Ultra has a 108-megapixel sensor. However, the S23 Ultra has just a 12MP front camera when compared to its predecessor which has a 40MP sensor. But the company is offering High Dynamic Range (HDR) on the front camera for the first time in S23 Ultra.

Whereas the S22 Ultra has Wi-Fi 6E, all three phones in the S23 series have Wi-Fi 6E now. This means the latest series support Wi-FI 6E’s new super-fast 6GHz frequency band. 

Also, the S23 series has Bluetooth 5.3, a step up from Bluetooth 5.2 in S22 Ultra.

The S23 Ultra has the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessor and 45W fast charging but the company claims that the battery life has increased significantly.

There are several features that have been upgraded in S23 Ultra. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with LPDDR5X RAM type and offers 33 per cent more data than LPDDR5 (used in S22 Ultra) at the same voltage. For better safety, S23 Ultra comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. In its predecessor, Samsung used Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
