Samsung is set to expand its Galaxy A line up of smartphones with the launch of Samsung Galaxy A31 in the coming weeks. The mid-range smartphone, which has already been launched in Thailand, will arrive in India on June 4. This will be company’s third offering this year as part of its Galaxy A series. Earlier, it had launched the Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71 – the former emerging as the best-selling smartphone of Q1 2020.

It is believed that the Galaxy A31 will be sold via both online and offline stores at around Rs 23,000 in India. It may arrive in four colour variants, namely Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush Red and Prism Crush White. 

The Samsung Galaxy A31 is built around a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. The smartphone is likely to be powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor, with up to 6GB of RAM. The storage options will include 64GB and 128GB variants, both expandable up to 512GB memory via micro SD card.

The smartphone will run OneUI 2.0 on top of Android 10. 

It will have a quad rear camera setup comprising of 48-megapixel sensor with LED flash, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and lastly a 5-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, you will get a 20-megapixel selfie shooter. 

The phone should pack a 5000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), 3.5mm headphone jack and Dual 4G VoLTE. The phone will also have Dolby Atmos support and a fingerprint sensor.
