Redmi Watch is packed with several features that allow users to accurately track their trajectory, speed, distance and calories burnt during workouts. The Watch simultaneously also keeps a check on heart rate to provide a clear and detailed status for workout sessions.
The overall design and look of the Redmi Watch will really impress you. This smartwatch has almost ticked all the right boxes from style, battery performance, fitness tracking to its overall performance. Weighing just 35 grams, Redmi Watch is extremely light, making it a comfortable companion for the wrist all day long. The rear side of the smartwatch houses the charging pins and the heart-rate sensor. This multi-tasking smartwatch looks premium on the wrist as well.
Shaped like an Apple watch, the Redmi watch features a 1.4-inch high-resolution color display with a touchscreen and 320 X 320 pixels resolution that provides sharp and clear visuals indoors, as well as under direct sunlight. According to the company, it also sports an ambient light sensor that enhances the viewing experience by automatically adjusting the display brightness based on the lighting and environmental conditions.
With 200 plus watch faces and four changeable color straps, the watch simply blends in with any outfit and can be customized based on the look of the day. During the review period, in terms of brightness, the display worked well in various light conditions. The touchscreen features a higher resolution and worked smoothly. We didn't find any lag here. The smartwatch is compatible with both iOS and Android.
Once connected, you can easily read incoming alerts and messages directly on the screen. Housing a 230 mAh battery, the Watch lasted for more than seven days on a single charge. It comes with a POGO pin charger that charges 100 percent in less than 2 hours. The Redmi has applied one button on the right of the device for easy access.
As you swipe right, you will see options such as heart rate, sleep monitoring, weather details, calorie count and several other features. When you swipe left, you will see additional features like music control. Swipe down and you'll find recent notifications and messages while swiping up you will see shortcuts such as touch, screen wake on, screen lock, DND mode, setting and more.
Featuring an in-built GPS + GLONASS, the new Redmi smartwatch allows users to accurately track their trajectory, speed, distance, and calories burnt during workouts. It simultaneously also keeps a check on heart rate to provide a clear and detailed status for workout sessions.
The smartwatch comes with 11 professional sports modes such as Cricket, walking, cycling, trekking, outdoor running, treadmill, pool swimming, freestyle, etc that automatically keep track of the activity in real-time. In addition, it provides professional-level health monitoring with advanced health features, such as heart rate monitoring, sleeps monitoring and guided breathing, etc. that keep a check on the health condition of the user.
While doing basic tasks like working out at home, doing physical activities, the smartwatch didn't disappoint at all. The Redmi watch worked smoothly. The biggest strength of this watch is its battery life and it is very easy to use. Also, this device has been certified to 5ATM standards. This means that it is water-resistant to up to 50 meters in depth for 10 minutes. This watch can track and record movements underwater.
Additionally, the Redmi Watch also brings a host of other features straight to the wrist such as music control, idle alert, weather information, alarm, emoji support, app notifications, call silence/reject and more. Users can control and set up all these features on the smartwatch via their phone through the Xiaomi Wear app which is available on Google Play Store.
Verdict: Priced at Rs 3,999, The Redmi Watch will compete with Realme Watch which is also available at a similar price rate. The major difference you will find between these watches is -- SpO2 sensor. The Redmi Watch is not offering a SpO2 sensor but it has integrated GPS which is more useful. Overall, I can say that if you're looking for a smartwatch with multiple features under Rs 5,000, this Redmi Watch won't disappoint you. For people who are looking to buy smartwatches, this Redmi Watch might be the best one in this range.
