Redmi K20, K20 Pro launch today: LIVE Streaming, expected price, features, other details
The much-awaited Redmi K20 and Redmi 20 Pro which are expected to take on the OnePlus 7 series globally, are set to be launched in China today. Xiaomi has promoted the K20 series as an affordable alternative to the OnePlus 7 series, Asus ZenFone 6 and Honor 20.

Xiaomi has promoted the K20 series as an affordable alternative to the OnePlus 7 series, Asus ZenFone 6 and Honor 20 while not compromising on the performance. It named the new series a 'flagship killer', adding on to the hype. The Redmi K20 is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, Game Turbo 2.0, and seventh-generation in-display fingerprint sensor, among other exciting features. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is also expected to launch a Redmi-series laptop today.

The launch event will start at 2 pm local time (11:30am IST) in China. The live streaming of the event will be available on the official Redmi account on Weibo and the Xiaomi website. Notably, the live stream is likely to be in Mandarin (Chinese). You can also get all the live updates on Xiaomi's social media handles.
Redmi K20, K20 Pro expected price
The base variant of Redmi K20 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost 2299 Yuan (approximately Rs 23,000). The second variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost 2499 Yuan (approximately Rs 25,000). The top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost 2899 Yuan (approximately Rs 30,000).
The Pro version of the phone will priced slightly more. According to a recent leak the Redmi K20 Pro would cost CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs 26,200) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs 28,200) for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model and CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 30,200) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

The Redmi K20 is rumoured to come with the Snapdragon 730 chipset while the Redmi K20 Pro will get the Snapdragon 855 chipset. Both the Redmi K20 phones are likley to sport a 6.3-inch fullscreen AMOLED display with no notch and slim bezels. The display gets an in-display fingerprint sensor and the front camera sits on a mechanized pop-up module.
At the back, the phone will have a triple rear camera module like of some of its competitors with a 48-megapixel primary camera while the front camera is known to get a 20-megapixel camera. The smartphones are expected to be powered by a 4000mAh battery which will get support from Xiaomi's latest version of fast charging.
