Redmi 12 5G launch in India: Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, is all set to launch its new smartphone - Redmi 12 5G - in India and globally on August 1. The company is also launching Redmi Watch 3 Active, the Xiaomi TV X series and some other products. The launch event is expected to start at 12 noon on Tuesday.

Xiaomi India has also created a webpage for the upcoming phone. According to the page, the Redmi 12 5G smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Redmi 12 5G: Expected specifications

Redmi 12 5G is likely to have a big 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The smartphone is expected to boot on Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin out of the box.

Redmi Watch 3 Active specification

The company is also launching Redmi Watch 3 Active. The smartphone is likely to have a 1.83-inch LCD screen which will offer a peak brightness of 450 nits. Reports suggest that the smartwatch is expected to offer a battery life of 12 days. It will come with Bluetooth 5.3 with phones and measures health parameters like blood oxygen, heart rate and others.
