Two new smartphones with 64MP quad cameras are expected to be launched in India soon. These are Realme XT and Redmi Note 8 Pro. Both the companies have confirmed their smartphone's India launch, but there is no clarity on the date. Realme XT is confirmed to launch in India before Diwali, while, Redmi Note 8 Pro will come in around 8 weeks' time.

The competition between Realme and Xiaomi is now at its peak. Both have been quite successful and would be looking to outdo each other this time too. On Thursday, Ahead of the Redmi Note 8 Pro's launch in China, Realme revealed the Realme XT launch in India by giving the smartphone to the media and confirming its specifications. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has already shared the tease of Realme XT in India.

So, what exactly are we looking at from these companies as far as Realme XT and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones are concerned? Here are the specifications:

Realme XT specifications
Realme has unveiled the world’s first 64MP quad-camera phone Realme XT, under its premium ‘X’ series. The new smartphone will also feature one of the most powerful chipsets in the segment - the Snapdragon 712, along with the latest in-display fingerprint display and a 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge, Featuring a 3D glass hyperbola curve back design, realme XT will bring a Super Amoled Dewdrop Full-Screen display with 92.1% screen-to-body ratio.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE, one of the best chipsets in the segment. Realme XT also boasts of having a 4000mAh battery, supported by 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge that will provide one the fastest charging speeds and endurance in the market.

Redmi Note 8 Pro specifications
The Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD display with a dot drop notch and offers a 91.94% screen-to-body ratio. It also gets a curved Gorilla Glass 5 on the back like the Realme XT. As per the reports, Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first smartphone to be powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Helio G90T processor, which is a gaming-centric chipset that comes equipped with a Mali G76 GPU. 

It comes with a quad-camera setup on the back similar to Realme XT. There's a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, all of which are similar to the Realme XT. The selfie camera, however, offers a 20-megapixel sensor.

The phone runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 and powered by 4,500mAh battery, also supports 18W fast charging.
