Realme X50 Pro 5G to pack Snapdragon 865 chipset! Launch confirmed for MWC 2020

Realme has announced the launch of its new 5G smartphone which will be its first to use Qualcomm's recently launched Snapdragon 865 5G chipset. The smartphone will be unveiled at an event with the theme of "Speed of the Future" at MWC 2020 in Barcelona, Spain. Called the Realme X50 Pro 5G, the smartphone will be unveiled during Realme's first ever participation in the Mobile World Congress.

At the fourth Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit held at the end of last year, Qualcomm announced that Realme would be one of the first smartphone brands to adopt Snapdragon 765G and Snapdragon 865 5G mobile platforms. Last month, the company had launched its first 5G smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 765G - Realme X50 5G in China.

The company said that it aims to become a tech-trendy brand that "Dare to Leap” and will debut at MWC as a leading global brand.

The details about the smartphone will be unveiled during the MWC but few reports suggest that it can come with Realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10. The smartphone is tipped to be a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that will accept Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

To recall, Realme X50 5G was launched in China with a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It had a dual punch-hole selfie camera, which included a 16 MP sensor and an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. The smartphone was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset with an integrated 5G modem.

As of now, Realme has entered 25 markets worldwide, including China, India, Southeast Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Europe, etc.
