Oppo has announced the rollout plan for the latest version of its operating system - ColorOS 7. The announcement was made during an event in China where Oppo also revealed the smartphones that will be getting the update. ColorOS 7 follows ColorOS 6 and comes with several new features like a new UI, customisable icons, a more comfortable colour system, and new sound effects. Oppo has also introduced another new feature called Beauty Mode 2.0. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is hosting an event on November 26 in India to made the OS official in the country.

Oppo has announced that it will start rolling out the update from November 25. The first smartphones to get the update will be - Oppo Reno, Oppo Reno Inspiration Edition, Oppo Reno 10x Zoom, Oppo Reno Barcelona Custom Edition, Oppo Reno Ace, and Oppo Reno Ace Gundam Edition.

After this, Oppo Reno 2 will receive ColorOS 7 update as part of phase 2 during December.

The third phase will begin in the first quarter of 2020 where Oppo Reno 2Z, Oppo Reno Z, Oppo Find X, Oppo R17, Oppo R17 Pro, and Oppo K5 will get the update. In the fourth phase, scheduled for the second quarter of next year, Oppo R15, Oppo K3, Oppo A9, Oppo A9x, Oppo A11, and Oppo A11x will receive the ColorOS 7 update.

Apart from Oppo, Realme smartphones are also set to get the ColorOS 7 update. However, the company has confirmed that it will run a slightly tweaked version of the operating system. Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition will get the OS in February 2020. Realme Q is expected to get the update in March, while the Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro will receive the update in April.

It will be interesting to see when these devices will get ColorOS 7 in India.
