Even as Oppo gears up to launch the Oppo Find X2 series in India, it has announced that a new smartphone could be unveiled in the country soon. The Chinese smartphone maker said that it is set to expand its presence in the budget segment with the launch of Oppo A52, a successor to this year’s Oppo A31.

“Further strengthening its leadership in the segment, OPPO is all set to add another marvel to its bestselling A series with the launch of OPPO A52 very soon. Riding high on the successful launch of OPPO A31 this year, OPPO is all set to carry forward the legacy of its popular A series with the launch of A52,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday morning. 

It added that Oppo A52 will be the first smartphone to feature a punch-hole display in the budget friendly segment. The Oppo A52 runs ColourOS 7.1, based on Android 10, and features a 6.5-inch (1,080x2,400 pixels) display. The phone is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM.

It features a quad rear camera setup that includes 12-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, and two 2-megapixel cameras. For selfies and video calling, there's a single 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Oppo A52 also packs 5,000mAh battery and it supports 18W fast charging. 

Apart from this, the company also plans to launch a new IOT product soon. While it didn’t reveal the details of this product, Oppo hinted it to be a ‘perfect fit for an on the go lifestyle’. 

“Set for a launch soon, the new offering will enable users to enjoy an immersive surround sound experience and will serve as a perfect fit for an on the go lifestyle,” it said.
