Online SBI: If you are an SBI customer and use SBI online banking, you can reduce your risk of becoming a target of online fraudsters. State Bank of India, India's largest lender has given some online banking tips for its customers to do safe online banking. Serving more than 42 crore customers after the merger, the SBI has been strict on conveying safety methods to its bank account holders, while doing online banking. The fraudsters can lure customers into sharing their personal details like mobile number, name, address, debit cards, credit cards and bank account numbers and passwords etc.

There has been a significant rise in online scams where fraudsters are sending attractive and luring sms, calls or emails to lure customers. However, SBI has been warning its customers on frequent basis, in order to take precautions in their day-to-day financial transactions. The customers can remain safe during ATM withdrawals, internet banking, phone banking or any other banking service. 

Online SBI: 8 tips to stay safe with SBI internet banking 

1. Change your Password at regular intervals, so that the fraudsters cannot track your passwords through hacking practices. 

2. The users can report SBI official forum in case of such incidents by reporting at report.phishing@sbi.co.in

3. The users should access portal by typing https://www.onlinesbi.com. Clicking on any shortcuts/links in not safe. 

4. The users should not access his/her account from public places like cyber cafes, malls, parks, markets etc.

5. It is always a good option to use virtual keyboard to enter user ID and Password as it prevents from any sort of hacking.
