OnePlus OxygenOS 15 unveiled: Check major upgrades and features

OnePlus has officially unveiled its latest operating system, OxygenOS 15. The company claims that the new OS will deliver an industry-leading “Fast & Smooth” experience and has addressed several feedbacks received from users.

OxygenOS 15 has introduced Parallel Processing that will improve animation interactions and enhance usability. This will result in seamless transitions between applications. According to the company, users will get a stable and smooth experience even when using over 20 apps continuously. 

Additionally, the Android skin is capable of examining and removing redundant features and will eventually let users enjoy more storage space for apps and files. "On OnePlus’ next-generation flagship phones, OxygenOS 15 will achieve a remarkable reduction in system storage, shrinking by nearly 20%* compared to OxygenOS 14 on OnePlus 12," the company said.
 
OxygenOS 15 has also incorporated powerful AI features into various photography scenarios with OnePlus AI. The AI Detail Boost can transform low-resolution or cropped images into stunning 4K visuals in seconds. 

For blurry scenes, the new AI Unblur feature effectively fixes blurry images without the need for additional apps. The OxygenOS 15 also has an AI Reflection Eraser to remove both strong and subtle reflections with a single tap.

Moreover, the OxygenOS 15 uses the Gemini models to enhance the search experience of users which can be initiated with a simple conversation. With this, OnePlus is also introducing Circle to Search. This can be initiated with a simple long press of the navigation bar or Home Button.  

Pass Scan enables users to quickly scan paper or digital boarding passes. This feature works from both the camera and photo album, offering more flexibility. There are several AI features that will enhance the experience of users. 

OxygenOS 15 on the upcoming new OnePlus devices will leverage Google Play Protect live threat detection to analyze app behavior and detect potential malware and help ensure the safety of your device.
