Instagram is a popular app  for sharing photos and videos. Now, Instagram users can  book tickets, order food, make appointments and reservations from  the app as the photo and video sharing app today rolled out "call-to-action buttons" for businesses. Businesses would be able to help customers connect with the third-party partners from the platform with "Instagram Direct" by adding these buttons to their profile. "With this new facility, businesses will have a better way to manage their messages, the company said in a blog post. Users will be able to see important new customer messages in the inbox, instead of in the pending folder, it said.

Users will be able to filter conversations so that they can come back to the messages they would want to follow up on. The company said it will begin testing quick replies so that one can easily respond to the common questions. Over 200 million users visit a business profile every day and over 150 million people have conversations with businesses through Instagram`s "Direct" every month, said Instagram which is owned by Facebook.

Instagram plans to expand this list to cover partners across all countries. The company aims to help businesses to connect and communicate with their customers.  Earlier, Instagram introduced the dating feature  and ‘music stickers’ in its app. With the new features, users can add songs to their stories, making stories more interesting. The feature would be able to recognise the songs in the background.

Instagram also recently added an in-app payments feature for users, letting users add a credit or debit card and a pin for additional security.  Instagram is also testing the option to post reactions to stories. With the help of this feature, one can tell their  friends how hilarious or depressing their most recent uploads were. This feature is available in Facebook Stories already. Instagram has made the standard "no comment" response to these tests.
