Now Instagram will inform guideline violators before killing their accounts
The user will now be able to appeal the company's decision via the alert.
Facebook and its acquired social networking platforms Instagram and Whatsapp have often been under the radar for all the wrong reasons. To counter allegations, the social networking sites have come up with the decision to remove accounts that do not adhere to guidelines. However, several users have been protesting against blocking or removal of their Instagram accounts for no justified reasons.
To address the problem voiced by users, Instagram has now released a new feature by which the platform will inform the user before deleting their account. Instagram reserves the right to delete user accounts that do not go hand in hand with its guidelines. With the alert feature, the user will now be able to appeal against the company's decision via the alert.
Initially, the platform would remove only contents that contain nudity or hate speech. Recently, Instagram has broadened the spectrum of content appeal types over time. Additionally, the platform is also planning to have a moderating team which will provide more leeway to ban negative influencers on the social networking platform. Post this, several models, photographers and adult movie artists countered the decisions post many of them lost their content and accounts overnight on Instagram on the account of policy violation.
