Carl Pei, founder and CEO of Nothing, has changed his last name on X to 'Bhai'. Not only this, he has influenced others too to do the same. Among the prominent ones joining him is Aravind Srinivas, co-founder and CEO of the search startup Perplexity AI.

The Nothing CEO didn't stop there and went on to suggest Tesla CEO Elon Musk change his name to 'Elon Bhai' to build a Tesla factory in India.

"@elonmusk did you really think you could build a Tesla factory in India without changing your username to Elon Bhai?" Pei wrote.

The founder of the London-based consumer electronics brand has got 'Bhai' added to the names of the company on X. The company changed Nothing India to 'Nothing India Bhai' and CMF by Nothing to 'CMF Bhai Nothing'.

Nothing Phone 2a launch in India: How did this 'Bhai' saga start?

It all started with a casual conversation between the company's CEO and a user on X.

"Why is a brand ambassador needed?" the user asked. This caught the attention of Nothing CEO who replied by saying - "We want to sell more phones bhai".

It won't be wrong to say that 'Bhai' is one of the most common words used during casual conversations between two colleagues or friends in India. Internet was amused by this 'desi' touch in his reply and the reply has gone viral with 1.4 million views on X.

The company has already confirmed that the company will be hosting an in-person launch event in India for the Phone (2a). Also, the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) will be manufactured in India.
