The initiative of Nothing Phone 2a Community Edition began in March this year after the official unveiling of Nothing Phone 2a. In this project, users are being asked to create a special-edition layout of the Phone 2a, spanned over six months, which involves four stages. The first stage of the project aimed at hardware design, the second phase consisted of wallpapers, the third phase focused on packaging for the new phone, and the last stage involved marketing campaigns.

Nothing has announced the frontrunners of the Nothing Community Edition project on its official website. The ultimate design of the Nothing Phone 2a Community Edition includes a Phosphorescence model having a green finish that illuminates in the dark. The wallpapers, packaging, and marketing movements follow the same theme. As per the report, apart from the new layout, wallpaper, and packaging, the internal contents of the Nothing Phone 2a Community Edition model are predicted to be similar to the standard Phone 2a.
