HMD Global launches its latest Nokia X6 globally. The smartphone is more popularly known as Known as Nokia 6. 1 Plus and Hong Kong might be the first recipient of the same. The phone is a part of the Android One program, i.e. this device will have an optimised Android certified by Google. The smartphone will be eligible of receiving quick updates, along with monthly security updates.

Nokia 6.1 Plus Specifications
The phone sports a 5.8-inch Full HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch and impact resistance along with a notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. It runs the octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC, paired with 4GB RAM. Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with an expandable via microSD card up to 400GB and has an inbuilt storage of 64GB. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.

On the camera front, it sports a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP+5MP shooter sporting a f/2.0 aperture and 1-micron pixels and the front camera is of 16MP.

The device comes with AI features which include colour contrast, depth of field and portrait lighting effects, and face recognition. The colour options include blue and white.

For the connectivity, Nokia 6.1 Plus supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. It also has accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. 

The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear side and is powered by 3060mAh battery. According to the company, the 18W charger will allow the phone to get 50% charge within 30 minutes. The phone has a dimension of 147.2×70.98×7.99mm (excluding the camera lens), going up to 8.59mm with the lens, and it weighs 151 grams.

Nokia 6.1 Plus price and availability
The phone which has been made official in Hong Kong is priced at HKD 2,288 (approx. Rs 20,100). Nokia 6.1 Plus will be available in the stores of Hong Kong from July 24. Considering India as one of the most important markets of HMD Global, Nokia 6.1 Plus is likely to be launched in the country soon.
