New OnePlus 6: Price, launch, specs and more; take a brief look
OnePlus 6, the successor of OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, will be launched in India on May 17, 2018, a day after its official launch in London. But before that happened, there has been a leak related to the smartphone and it says that it will be priced at Rs 36,999 in India. This is the price of its base model with 64GB storage.
The leak also suggests that its second model with 128GB storage will be priced at around Rs 39,999. Apart from this, rumours suggest that there will be a third model of OnePlus 6 too, which will be available with 256 GB storage, but the price of this high-end OnePlus 6 model has not been revealed.
As far as the design and specifications of OnePlus 6 go, then reports indicate that it will be launched with a major design change with the much-talked-about Apple iPhone X notch display. In addition to it, the smartphone will carry glass and metal design. OnePlus 6 is likely to get AI-based photography abilities for its dual cameras. There will a change in design like the Alert slider will be repositioned on it.
OnePlus 6 is going to retain the 3.5mm audio jack and could also come with iPhone x-like gestures for functions like pulling down notifications and killing an app. Reports also suggest that the OnePlus 6 will carry waterproof capabilities, in fact, it will be the first phone with such capabilities in the range of smartphones being offered by OnePlus.
The leaks also suggest that OnePlus 6 is expected to feature a 6.28-inch QHD+ display and will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It will be powered by a 3,450mAh battery.
OnePlus 6 India launch
OnePlus 6 will be officially launched in London on May 16 and will see its launch in India on May 17. Reports suggest that for early birds, the smartphone will go on sale exclusively on Amazon on May 21.
