Ahead of HMD Global's unveiling of the Nokia 8 in a few days time at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, a peak of the new smartphone was available courtesy of Chinese retailer website JD.com. This not only gave people an idea of its looks but also of its colours.

However, there was no information regarding its specifications and its credibility remains doubtful. But Nokia has been selling its smartphones on the retailer site for some time. It used the site to sell its Nokia 6 smartphone which had only been launched in China.

While the Nokia 8 was spotted in two colours black and grey, the smartphone is expected to priced at CNY 3,188 (approximately Rs 31,000). While the conversion value may not be the exact price that it may be when launched in India, but the smartphone is expected to priced at Rs 35,000 in India, according to a Digit.in report.

At this price it will give competition to popular smartphone brands such as the OnePlus, which has some of its flagships smartphones in that range.

Some of the specifications of the Nokia 8 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 5.7 inch Super AMOLED panel, 24 megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation and some reports state that it may use a Carl Zeiss lens. The front camera will be 12 megapixel. It will feature a 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage space which can expanded to 256GB and will work on Android Nougat operating system.

HMD Global will present its products on February 26 at 9pm IST at the MWC 2017.
