Search giant Google has released a list of most searched trends of the year where cricket has once again trumped politics and economy. Cricket World Cup was the most searched news in India in 2019 followed by Lok Sabha elections.

Cricket World Cup was the most searched news in India in 2019 followed by Lok Sabha elections. The list has ranked trends from various domains including the most searched questions of last 12 months. "The top 10 overall list of trending search terms this year reflected the country’s excitement around events like the Cricket World Cup, the Lok Sabha elections followed by the buzzing interest that surrounded the launch of Chandrayaan 2," said the report.
The list ranks questions in two separate categories - 'How to' and 'What is' - dominated by how to vote and what is article 370. How to link Aadhar to PAN and how to play PUBG also found a place in the list. Here is a look at the most searched questions of 2019 -
