Chinese technology company Lenovo today launched its K9 smartphone in India priced at Rs 8,999 and A5 at a starting price of Rs 5,999. Both the budget phones will be available exclusively on Flipkart. More than a year ago, Lenovo had unveiled K-series smartphones, Lenovo K8 and Lenovo K8 Plus, in September last year. 
 
The 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant Lenovo K9 will be available in Blue and Black colours, while Lenovo A5 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage will be available in Black and Gold colours. 
 
Sporting a 5.7-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, Lenovo K9 is fuelled by an 8-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The new device also flaunts 13MP+5MP dual front and rear cameras with features like bokeh effect, auto-focus and flash for both front and rear shooters. 
 
The new smartphone is powered by 3,000mAh battery, and the company has provided type-C charging facility also in the device, which runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
 
According to the company, Lenovo A5 comes with 5.45-inch HD 18:9 screen with 80.3 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The company is offering the phone in 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM + 32GB memory variants, along with a 4,000mAh battery which has intelligent power-saving feature that ensures uninterrupted use of phone throughout the day. 
 
The new device, which would be available in black and gold colours, also comes with a face unlock feature as well as a fingerprint recognition system.
