Reliance Jio's upgrade version of JioPhone, JioPhone 2 are all set to go on flash sale at 12 pm today. The 4G feature phone is priced at Rs  2,999.

Reliance Industries CMD Mukesh Ambani had announced the phone during company's AGM on July 5. You can buy the phone from Reliance Jio's official website Jio.com.

JioPhone 2 is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery and comes with a horizontal 2.4-inch QVGA display. The QWERTY keypad phone runs on KAI operating system and has 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory (expandable up to 128GB), a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera.

Jio had said in a statement that starting 15th August, JioPhone customers will be able to use Facebook, YouTube and Google Maps in the phone. However, Jio also said WhatsApp will be available on JioPhone devices soon. Though, it hasn't specified an exact date for the same.

You will be able to run WhatsApp on the JioPhones only when the company rolls out official support for the chatting app.
