With this tool, iPhone users will be able to record phone calls without installing any third-party recording apps. After installing the iOS 18, a recording button will be displayed and by tapping the button, users will be able to record their phone calls. Nevertheless, the other user will be alerted about the call recording. It will also show the duration of the recording when the recording is done. After the completion of the recording, iPhone users will have the option to access the transcript for additional reference.

The tech giant will ultimately save the call transcripts to Apple Notes, where they can be stored or deleted later. Although Apple Intelligence will assist in the transcription calls on compatible handsets such as the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, Apple’s Notes application will provide an AI-powered summary of the transcription.

However, the eligibility of features and whether these tools will be accessible on other Apple handsets is currently uncertain.  Some reports indicate that older iPhone handsets might have the basic call transcript tool as it does not need Apple Intelligence tools. The new call transcript feature of iOS 18 will work on multiple languages such as Spanish (Mexico, Spain, US), English (UK, US, India, Canada, Australia), French, German, Mandarin Chinese (Taiwan, China mainland), Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Cantonese (Hong Kong, China mainland). Nonetheless, the tool is currently not added to iOS 18 beta 3.
