iPhone 8 sells for less than Rs 60,000 on Flipkart, Amazon during festive season sales

In another round of festive sale days by Amazon and Flipkart the e-commerce companies are banking on discounts of the new Apple iPhone 8 to spike revenues. Deals on the new iPhone ranges from up to 6% off to cashback offers.

The iPhone 8 is available in three colour options Gold, Silver and Space Grey.

It has two storage variants as well – 64GB and 256 GB priced at Rs 64,000 and Rs 77,000 respectively. The iPhone 8 weighs 148 grams and has a 4.7 inch HD display.

It has a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 7 megapixel front camera complete with fingerprint scanner and a battery with up to 14 hours talk time.

Amazon

The US based e-commerce website began its Great Indian Festival sale on October 4. Its five day sale will end on October 8.

The Space Grey 64 GB iPhone 8 is going for Rs 59,949 on Amazon India’s website. The company said it is offering a flat 6% off on the iPhone 8’s original asking price of Rs 64,000.

Two more promotions are available on offer namely a cashback offer and a No Cost EMI offer.

Amazon is offering customers 15% back if payments are made using Amazon Pay. “Maximum up to Rs 450 per customer,” Amazon said.

In another cashback offer the company is offering 10% back on use of Citi Bank cards.

“Get 10% cashback with purchases using Citibank Cards. Minimum purchase Rs 3000. Maximum cashback Rs 2000,” the company’s website reads.

“No Cost EMI available on all major credit cards. The total amount you pay to your EMI provider will be equal to the item price,” it added.

Other colour variants have been priced slightly cheaper on Amazon for instance the gold variant is going for Rs 59,945.

Flipkart

Home grown Flipkart began its Festive Dhamaka Days on October 5 which will last up till October 8. The company recently concluded its Big Billion Days sale nearly two weeks before.

Unlike Amazon, Flipkart is offering all three colour variants of the iPhone 8 at the same price.

The iPhone 8 Space Grey, Gold and Silver variants are going for Rs 59,999 on Flipkart. The company also has an exchange offer and EMI’s starting from Rs 2051 per month.

Flipkart also has a No Cost EMI offer on the phone.
