Instagram has rolled out a new feature which will allow creators to make a two-sided digital card, facilitating the smooth sharing of their profiles. The Meta-owned social media platform’s new feature enables creators to design cards which match their style, thanks to multiple customisable options based on their preferences. This feature follows the introduction of a song-on-profile feature that allows users to personalise their profile by adding a song that reflects their mood or personality.

According to Instagram, the new Profile Card will enable users to create a more animated and customised digital card, which can be shared with others. Along with a QR code linking to the profile, it will include options to add bio information, music describing the personality, and links to other pages, among other features. Users will also be able to change the background colours, as well as add a selfie or a custom emoji as the background.

One side of the card is shareable, while the other side will feature a QR code that can be scanned to visit the profile. This will ensure the quick sharing of profiles, enabling creators to collaborate seamlessly with brands. Previously, sharing profile cards was limited to QR codes; the new feature allows users to share music and other interests as well.

In order to share the profile cards, users are required to go to the profile section of Instagram and click on the Share Profile option. The profile card can be customised by tapping on the edit icon and adding the desired information. Along with sharing stories, Instagram profile cards can be shared on other platforms as well.

In other developments, Instagram recently introduced a new multi-audio tracks feature for Reels, allowing users to add up to 20 audio tracks to a single reel. This feature offers the option to pair the right tracks with the right clips, enabling more personalized content creation.
