Infinix Smart 8 HD budget smartphone unveiled - Check expected specs, price and launch date

Infinix has unveiled its latest budget smartphone - Smart 8 HD. The smartphone is the successor of the Smart 7 Series and the company claims it will come with several upgrades. According to Infinix, the Smart 8 HD smartphone will be available in four colours - Crystal Green, Shiny Gold, Timber Black and Galaxy White.

The launch date of Infinix Smart 8 HD has been officially announced by the company. According to Infinix, the smartphone will be launched on December 8.

"The Smart 8 HD promises a paradigm shift in the budget smartphone landscape, boasting a very stylish and premium design and several upgrades compared to its predecessor," the smartphone manufacturer said in a release.

The Smart 8 HD smartphone will come with a 6.6-inch HD+ Sunlight Readable display. The display will offer a peak brightness of 500 nits peak brightness. According to the company, it will support a refresh rate of 90Hz and have a punch-hole camera for selfies.

The Smart 8 HD will come with a textured back panel. For the convenience of users, Infinix has introduced a side-mounted fingerprint sensor in this smartphone and the company claims that it is first in its segment.  The smartphone also comes with UFS 2.2 storage and Type C charging.

Features of Infinix Smart 7 HD 

The Infinix Smart 7 HD was launched with Spreadtrum SC9863A1 chipset paired with IMG8322 GPU. The device comes with a 2GB LPDDR4X RAM - with an additional 2GB extendable RAM - and internal storage of 64GB. 

The device was powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supported 10W standard charging support. Also, it had an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP camera on the front for selfies.
