Idea Cellular prepaid Plan: Idea Cellular, which is on the verge of merger with the British telecom major Vodafone,  has silently unveiled a new Rs 227 prepaid plan. Under the plan, the telecom company provides benefits for 28 days. Bharti Airtel too had recently launched Rs 219 prepaid plan with free Hello Tune subscription.   The new plan of India is valid in only  some circles for now. The telecom service provider may unveil the prepaid plan in all the circles very soon.

The Rs 227 plan offers 1.4GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. Besides that the users will also get free missed call alerts subscription and unlimited tones subscription, according Telecom Talk. If a user who has not taken the plan activates the missed call subscription separately then it costs Rs. 30 per month. However, Idea offers the service free for the first 15 days.

For activating the service, a prepaid user can send an SMS as SUB MCI249 to 54300. With the plan, the company has also mentioned some ‘Free Contest’ benefits, but the details of which are unknown yet, the report said. The company is reportedly coming up with some other competitive plans too.  It is giving free dailer tone service with this plan.  The Rs. 227 plan is an addition to the Rs. 199  plan. The plan has all the benefits of Rs 199 plan and additionally, it  has the free subscription to missed call alerts and dialer tones.

The Rs 227 plan also comes with 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week voice calls. Airtel's Rs 219 prepaid plan, which was launched last month, offers benefits of 1.4GB data per day, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and free Hello Tunes subscription, it said.
