Global PC and printer major HP Inc on Tuesday unveiled several new offerings that included a Next-Gen security service, a commercial virtual reality (VR) headset and a new range of consumer and commercial PCs.

During its flagship "HP Reinvent: World Partner Forum" event here, the company also outlined its digital transformation agenda, insights-driven go-to-market (GTM) strategy and partner-enablement enhancements.

As the security landscape continues to evolve, the company unveiled "HP DaaS Proactive Security Service" which is designed to go beyond anti-virus solutions and provide a critical extra layer of defence. 

As the world's most advanced isolation security service for files and browsing on Windows 10 PCs, the new HP security service provides real-time malware protection for computing endpoints and threat analytics through HP "TechPulse".

The "HP DaaS Proactive Security Service" will be available in more than 50 countries in April globally. 

HP also showcased its "Reverb" VR headset (professional edition) with twice the resolution, two-thirds the weight and half the US cost of the HP Mixed Reality VR Headset. 

"Reverb" aims to deliver a truly immersive experience with amazing clarity with 2160 x 2160 panel per eye and 114-degree field of view. 

The "Reverb" VR headset-Pro edition is expected to be available late April onwards.

"By creating ways for customers to manage, detect and defend against security threats with HP DaaS Proactive Security Service; redefining training with HP Reverb; and bringing commercial and consumer premium PC design mainstream, we remain passionate about creating the world's most exciting devices and intelligent solutions," Cho emphasised.

Designed for the modern SMB workforce, HP expanded its AMD commercial portfolio with the addition of the HP ProBook 445R G6, HP ProBook 455R G6, and the HP ProDesk 405 G4 Desktop Mini. 

Powered by 2nd Generation AMD Ryzen mobile processors, the HP ProBook 445R G6 and HP ProBook 455R G6 notebooks feature an ultra-slim aluminum chassis with crisp lines and clean edges. 

The 180-degree hinge allows users to lay the devices flat, making it easier to share content and collaborate, while HP "Noise Cancellation" technology reduces background noise by up to 20dB, informed the company.

The HP ProBook 445R G6 and HP ProBook 455R G6 are expected to be available in June.

The HP ProDesk 405 G4 Desktop Mini is expected to be available in April for a starting price of $499.
