Now according to some reports, there are many tutorials available on Google's video streaming platform YouTube that claim to provide ways to hack Facebook accounts. There are thousands of such videos by various Youtube users. Several of these videos have been watched a million times and describe hacking techniques that are eerily similar to the ones used by the Facebook hackers just days ago.

Facebook's head of cybersecurity Policy Nathaniel Gleicher has reportedly told The Telegraph that he was aware of such videos and they are ensuring that people's accounts are protected.

The report also quoted a Google spokesperson who said that the search engine giant is reviewing and will be removing such contents from Youtube.

If this was not enough, there are hundreds of websites which claim to provide access to any user's Facebook account by breaking into it. Many of these videos also demonstrate the use of these websites.

If any of these methods work, this will make Facebook users' data more insecure and vulnerable to hacking threats. These tutorial videos and websites may become a weapon for hackers who may be able to easily violate someone's privacy as well.

The year 2018 has not been so kind to Facebook. The social media giant was first caught in the controversy this year over user data sharing with a British political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica. It was alleged that the CA had used personal information mined from 87 million Facebook accounts. The social networking firm had also admitted that the CA had access to over 5 lakh Indian Facebook users' data.
