Blogging on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram has become a money-making opportunity for some users. They get paid by brands and PR agencies for promoting certain products.

Sakshi Sundriyal, a popular social media blogger and influencer, tells Zee Business Online, "One should never think of his/her earnings initially. Passion for writing, focusing on content, taking care of your audience are the keys to success."

How to start? Follow these steps to become a social media blogger.

Step 1: Just begin it. Don't think much about earning from the blog initially. The first step is to give it a start. You can create a free blog initially on WordPress, blogger and various other platforms. There are many who don't have any website/blog under their name but they possess a good social media following. The earning opportunity comes when your blog attracts a lot of other users and your social media profile becomes popular.

"Anyone, who's having a huge social media following but has no blog over internet is a social media influencer, not a blogger. Having a blog that stands out is also very important. So make sure you have a specific niche for your blog," says Sundriyal.

Step 2: Now when you've started a blog, the next and the most important thing is to be consistent.  Consistency is the key to a successful blog. Be consistent, and watch your traffic grow. Keep your Instagram handle a 'business account'. It allows you to run advertisements and also provide insights of your posts and accounts.

"Social media visibility is another important aspect. Make sure you create profile on Instagram, Facebook page and other social media platforms," says Sundriyal.
